The Ibanez RG is the most renowned and distinctive guitar in the Ibanez lineup. Three decades of metal have shaped this high-performance machine into a symbol of speed, power, and uncompromising precision. Designed for maximum performance with either a fixed hardtail bridge or the leading-edge Ibanez locking tremolo system, the RG stands out in any setting.
The Ibanez Prestige series is built around three core principles: precision, performance, and playability. It combines state-of-the-art manufacturing technology with traditional Japanese craftsmanship to create instruments that set new standards in design and construction.
The Super Wizard HP 5-piece neck made from maple and wenge offers an exceptionally smooth and fast playing feel, while the rosewood fretboard delivers a balanced, full sound with clearly defined mids. The jumbo stainless steel frets provide excellent corrosion resistance and a fast response ideal for both chords and precise single notes. The basswood body ensures a natural, balanced tone with linear tone development.
Fishman® Fluence™ Modern Humbucker Ceramic pickups generate a powerful, aggressive tone without annoying background noise. The integrated voicing switch allows you to effortlessly switch between an active, modern high output sound and a transparent, dynamic clean sound. Additional stability and comfort come from the Gotoh® MG-T locking tuners, which facilitate quick string changes and outstanding tuning stability.
